The summer was hot and especially dry, marking the birth of this great vintage, boasting a stunning maturing ability. Elegance, finesse, aromas of ripe and tart black fruits, La Petite Marquise confirms with freshness its brotherhood bond with its first wine.

"Again we are in impressive second wine territory, as we have seen across St-Julien. This is an approachable and seductive wine, an enticing way in to the Las Cases stable. A ton of St-Julien character and balance, but with deep blackberry and blackcurrant fruits, chocolate and a lot of tannin. This is a serious wine - more powerful than many years - and has settled in over the ageing period".
