This enclosed area, totally surrounded by walls more than 2 meters high, has given its name to the village square that adjoins it. Facing southwest, the 1 ha 65 ares 65 centiares of Meursault were planted in 1971. They produce approximately 9,300 bottles annually (average over 20 years).
