Halfway between Prémeaux and Nuits-Saint-Georges, the 1er Cru Les Saint Georges is without a doubt THE most renowned cru in the town. Ideally positioned on the edge of the hill, with eastern exposure, the vineyard flourishes on a wide variety of soils. Located at the mid-slope, complex soils, composed of limestone screes of sand from the top of the hillside, and clay. Les Saint Georges are complex and elegant wines, marked by the fruit purity, the subtlety of the tannins, and the nobility of the cru. A file is in progress to request its classification as a Grand Cru.
