It reveals notes of ripe/bright cassis, small black fruits and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of small blue fruits, Cuben pepper, lily, lilac, bright raspberry as well as fine hints of toasted almond. The palate is beautifully fruity, beautifully fresh, elegant, well-balanced, racy and offers a beautiful acidulous frame, a superb bright/acidulous fruit (as well as a fine crunchiness), a beautiful finesse of the grain, precision, a beautiful aerial side as well as a beautiful finesse of the tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cassis, bright blackberry and small notes of violet plum associated with fine touches of raspberry, lily/lilac as well as fine hints of fresh violet fig, sweet spices, tonka bean, cardamom and a very discreet hint of white flowers. Subtle hints of toasted, toasted hazelnut on the persistence. Tannins are racy".

Dark chocolate and black-plum flavors mingle with the solid structure and concentrated tannins. With its ripe, juicy fruitiness at the end, the wine has all the elements in place. Falstaff 96/100 (maj 2019): "Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate bright rim. Fresh black cherries, a breath of plums, ethereal nuances, hardly noticeable wood component. Juicy, round and harmonious, silky, supporting tannin, mineral, equipped with a fine acid structure, quite delicate volume, good length, safe ageing potential".
Wine Advocate/Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW 94+/100 (marts 2021): "The 2018 Beau-Sejour Becot is a blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it slips slowly, sensuously from the glass with notes of boysenberries, black raspberries, baked plums and chocolate-covered cherries, plus hints of star anise, dried Provence herbs and lavender. The medium to full-bodied palate offers soft textured, perfumed black fruit layers with just enough freshness and a lifted finish. A little closed and shy at this youthful stage, give it a good 5-6 years in bottle and enjoy it over the next 25 years or more. 2026-2051".
